Mission Statement:
The Brandie Rose Foundation is a non-profit, community & volunteer based support services organization. We are committed to improving the lives of those facing a cancer crisis. To provide a home-like setting where patients, along with their families would gather for emotional and social support. To strive to identify the needs of those we serve and to develop more effective methods of meeting those needs. Funding is solicited from corporate partners, private individuals, and fundraisers.
Vision Statement:
The Brandie Rose Foundation envisions a community that embraces and supports those fighting cancer through Education, Prevention, Early Detection, and Supportive Services. To provide free of charge these services, along with emotional and social support that will enrich the lives of patients, caretakers. their family and friends.
About the Brandie Rose Foundation:
The Brandie Rose Foundation strives to accomplish the dream of opening The Brandie Rose Center. This facility will be unique in our community, a one of a kind “home like” gathering place, where cancer patients, families and friends can come together to feel connected to those facing the same struggles.
The Brandie Rose Foundation offers a variety of services, such as: Information, Transportation, Day Care, Personal Care, (such as hair, wigs, nails, massages, and aroma therapy). A buddy system/a companion that will accompany patients to Doctor Appointments, Chemotherapy, Infusion Clinics. The center will provide a room with computers and a fax machine for patients and families for research and keeping in touch with other family members. The center will offer donated and refurbished medical equipment (i.e. wheelchairs, walkers) for those patients not covered by medical insurance.
The initial and continuing purpose will be to offer financial assistance for preventative medical procedures, such as the HPV vaccine, Pap Smears and Mammograms. These services will be available, free of charge to those that do not have insurance coverage and do not meet the income guidelines set by the State of Michigan for services offered through the Grand Traverse Health Dept. We will work hand and hand with other health care administrators/programs in the area to improve the lives of those facing a cancer crisis.
Beyond the services offered, we will provide a place where cancer patients can feel compassion and acceptance at a time in their lives where so little feels good anymore.
Funding to be provided by private individuals, corporate partners, grants and fundraisers.
Donations are always welcomed and appreciated!
Volunteers at The Brandie Rose Foundation are key to our success. Volunteers will provide support to patients and their families and work with our staff to provide education and preventative programs in the community.
